Health Awareness Series — Facts vs. Myths on Liver Disease
Although liver disease is stereotypically linked to alcohol or drugs, the truth is that there are over 100 known forms of liver disease caused by a variety of factors and affecting everyone from infants to older adults. Liver disease can often be difficult to diagnose because its symptoms can be vague and easily confused with other health problems. In some cases, a person may have no symptoms at all but the liver may already have suffered significant damage.

When you or someone you love is first diagnosed with liver disease, you have a lot of questions about what to expect, how to cope and where to get help. You may also want to talk to others who have been through or are going through the same experience…www.liver.ca
