Fellowship Program:

Applications are invited for a twenty-four-month research intensive fellowship program at adMare designed to offer fellows a hands-on bench scientific experience while developing valuable and lifelong career advancement skills in adMare’s innovative research environment.

In addition to contributing both intellectually and experimentally to numerous therapeutic programs with focus on data generation fellows will receive on-the-job training supplemented with customized learning and development initiatives to advance the understanding of the drug development lifecycle and personal skill acquisition.

We are seeking postdoctoral fellows with a passion for synthetic organic chemistry and/or medicinal chemistry to join our Vancouver site. The fellow will become integrated within our medicinal chemistry team and take part in a drug discovery project. The postdoctoral fellow will gain experience in modern medicinal chemistry techniques and strategies. This program offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in drug discovery and to be part of a multidisciplinary team including biology, pharmacology and Drug Metabolism.

As Fellow you will:

Engage meaningfully with hands-on, experiential learning opportunities with an outlook on transferrable competencies.
Leverage past scientific experience, design, execute and drive key cutting edge R&D initiatives within adMare’s programs.
Prepare data for presentation at lab and departmental meetings and/or conferences.
Participate in manuscript and patent application writing, as appropriate.
Develop professional soft skills critical to success within & outside adMare.
Broaden professional network within the life sciences industry.

Qualifying Criteria:

Recently completed a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry or a related field from an accredited graduate level institution.
The successful candidate should have a strong interest and demonstrate deep understanding and experience in the specified field of research.
The successful candidate is expected to understand the assigned project and work independently, propose experimental hypotheses, design experimental questions and protocols, and plan, coordinate, conduct and report on assigned research projects.
Excellent communication and writing skills, as well as a team-oriented mindset for collaborative research, are critical.
Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, independent thought, and ability to effectively collaborate with others with multiple scientific disciplines.

Position Base Salary Range: $63,200 – $94,700

The salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

The state of the language situation and the assessment of the language needs of our company justify the requirement of knowledge of a language other than French for this position. In this case, the successful candidate for this position is required to have an excellent command of English, both spoken and written, due to the fact that the tasks to be performed include the responsibility to maintain, on a continuous and daily basis, relations with our Canadian team, whose main language of oral and written exchange is English, and to be able to discuss scientific and business concepts competently and in detail in this language.
