About Us

SCWIST, the Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology, is a non-profit organization that has been championing the advancement of women and girls in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) for over 40 years.

Established in 1981, SCWIST has a long-standing history of creating opportunities, providing mentorship, and advocating for gender equity in STEM fields across Canada. With decades of experience, SCWIST has developed a diverse range of programs and initiatives that inspire, engage, and support women and gender-diverse individuals at every stage of their STEM journey.

Today, SCWIST continues to drive systemic change through its advocacy work, partnerships, and programs, ensuring that future generations can thrive in a more inclusive and equitable STEM landscape.

SCWIST has partnered with Next Gen Men to equip leaders to foster safer, more respectful environments. This 4-part workshop series is aimed at leading the change for cultural paradigm shift in workplaces.

This event is for:

  • Men looking to better support women colleagues/become better allies.
  • People leaders or HR professionals who want to develop inclusive leadership on their teams/at their companies.
  • Founders/executives and teams who want to lead change and build positive cultures in the workplace.
