SCWIST Scholarship for Science Communications Program

SCWIST is pleased to continue our partnership with the Banff Science Communications program, and is offering our second annual scholarship to assist with costs of attendance at the summer 2015 program, to a total of $1,500.
Please apply directly through the Banff Science Communications website, with particular reference to the terms of the SCWIST scholarship.
SCWIST will select a candidate for the scholarship out of those who are accepted to the program and who have self-identified as a SCWIST member.
The conditions for receipt of the scholarship are:
- Priority will be given to those who have been SCWIST members in good standing for at least 6 months by the application deadline (March 31st, 2015) OR if not previously a member, have signed up for a full year’s membership with SCWIST before applying for the scholarship. To apply for a full year’s SCWIST membership (valid till April 2016), please email Andrea at resourcecentre@scwist.ca.
- We also request that the winner to write about their experience of the Banff Science Communications program for a Fall edition of the SCWIST newsletter, and that they take part in a science communications-themed event (such as a panel discussion) to be determined by SCWIST at a later date.
