Job Description

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position at the University of Toronto and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) in the field of Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Neuroimaging, Endocannabinoid System and Cannabinoids.

The aim of the Fellowship is to provide excellent experience clinical psychiatry, psychopharmacology, neurobiological and biomarker research, neuroimaging and clinical trials in Mood and Anxiety Disorders. The Fellow will develop excellent skills pertinent to the assessment and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, clinical research, novel neuroimaging approaches including Positron emission tomography (PET) imaging, and delivery of protocol-based interventions. This Fellowship will provide opportunity to work in multidisciplinary clinical and research teams, experience in scientific discovery, presentation, and publication, research methodologies and analytical processes.

Candidates with a PhD in a health-related discipline (e.g. psychology) or an MD and completed residency training in psychiatry (eligible to practice medicine in Ontario (Canada)) with experience in Mood and Anxiety Disorders are encouraged to apply.

Prior exposure to clinical trials is preferred. Applicants must have strong scientific writing skills. Individuals with a desire to pursue an academic career will be given priority. See CAMH website for information on research: https://www.camh.ca/en/science-and-research/research-areas

The expected duration of the Fellowship is 2 years. Salary will range from CAD $40,000 – $60,000 per annum, commensurate on experience.
