Eligibility:
- be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada;
- be 16 to 18 years of age at time of application;
- have been recognized for accomplishments in a formal capacity (e.g. selected as a winner or participant of a science fair, patent application, conference presentation) or less formal capacity (e.g. founding a coding club, developing a course for kids, creating an interactive art installation);
- have obtained, over the previous year of study, an academic average of 85% or higher;
- be preparing to enroll in the Fall of 2019 or currently enrolled in the first year of post-secondary education (university or college) in a STEAM field* in Canada.
Aboriginal Ambassadors in the Natural Sciences and Engineering Award
Value: up to $5,000
Eligibility:
- be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada;
- be an Aboriginal person;*
- be registered full-time in a degree program in the natural sciences or engineering (NSE) at an eligible institution or be employed at an eligible institution as a postdoctoral fellow in the NSE;
Claudette Mackay-Lassonde Graduate Award
Value: $15,000
Field/ Eligibility:
- Must self-identify as a female
- Possess Canadian Citizenship or Permanent Residency Status
- Be currently enrolled full-time at a PhD level in an accredited Engineering Program within Canada
- Must have an undergraduate degree from an accredited Canadian engineering program, or have a P. Eng. designation or be a recognized E.I.T. in their province of residence.
