Equitable Access to Reading Project

Funded by the Government of Canada, the Equitable Access to Reading Project (EARP) is dedicated to increasing the availability of high-quality, alternate format reading materials. Over the next two years, we’ll be curating a collection of 2,500 STEM and STEAM books for Grade K-12 readers who are low vision, blind, or have print disabilities.

At the heart of this initiative is a shared commitment to equity, inclusion, and access in STEM education, ensuring that every learner, regardless of ability, identity, or learning style, can fully participate and thrive.

Feature Author Series

A core part of the Equitable Access to Reading Project is our Feature Author Series, where we’ll be highlighting authors who are bringing STEM to life through literature. Their books will be showcased in our national repository of alternate format reading materials, reaching educators and institutions across Canada and becoming part of a legacy of inclusive STEM learning.

Many publishing houses allow nonprofits, like ours, to adapt books for accessibility purposes — yours may too! Submit your book to the Feature Author Series here.
