Youth Engagement Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer With Youth

Are you passionate about making a difference for youth and looking for a way to get more involved? We’re on the lookout for some stellar volunteers to support the team.

You can learn more about each program and its volunteer positions below. We hope you’ll apply! Applications will be reviewed as received.

Program Descriptions

Our STEM Explore workshops are in-person STEM workshops for Gr. K-7 that take place during the school day with a classroom of students. Each workshop typically lasts about 1.5-2 hours. Currently accepting volunteers for Vancouver and its surrounding areas.

Our newly reconfigured mentorship program pairs high school students with professional women* in STEM fields that match their interests.

Students will get a chance to bring an idea to life with the support of a mentor while building leadership skills, explore diverse STEM careers, and boost their confidence.

Students will also have an opportunity to apply for SCWIST funding to support their project!

The program runs from October 2024 to May 2025, with 3 live video sessions and asynchronous communication with your mentee.

Don’t see a volunteer position that fits your interests or want to support in a different way (e.g., Event Assistance, Fundraising, Speaking Opportunities, or something else)? Apply to be a General Volunteer and let us know what your specific interests are!
