SCWIST Diversity by Design Workshop
During the SCWIST Diversity by Design workshop, our expert facilitator will lead participants through interactive exercises and group discussions to:
- Examine the business case for diversity and innovation
- Better understand the challenges, including unconscious bias, gendered language and workplace culture
- Explore best practices including diversity recruitment, mentoring and inclusive workplace policies
- Work together to develop actions to advance inclusion, diversity, equity, accessibility and sustainability (IDEAS) in your workplace
As a prerequisite for attending the workshop, all participants will receive an invitation to complete the Diversity Awareness Tool (DAT).
The DAT assesses unconscious bias, diversity and inclusion on both individual and organizational levels. The tool includes an Implicit Association Test that was developed by Harvard’s Project Implicit to raise awareness of inherent biases that we all have.
Your participation in the DAT will provide important insights into key focus areas to advance IDEAS within your organization. Summary results from the DAT will be integrated into the workshop activities.
After the workshop, all participants will receive a comprehensive Learn More package with valuable resources to support their IDEAS journey. Additionally, a summary report will be provided after the workshop which includes the results of the DAT, key challenges discussed by participants and a roadmap of solutions to advance IDEAS within your team and across your organization.
