Women in Space and Tech
The Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology (SCWIST) and the Canadian Space Society (CSS) recently partnered to present the panel event Exploring Frontiers: Women in Space and Technology.
We were joined by four extraordinary women who have charted their own paths in the space and technology sectors, diving into their remarkable journeys, challenges, and triumphs – Natalie Cook, Samantha Yueh, Maria Nickel and Mahima Kapoor.
This event was a fantastic opportunity to dive into the present status of women’s presence in STEM fields. Attendees had the opportunity to learn about the wide array of career choices available in the space and technology sectors, received valuable guidance on finding mentors and becoming mentors themselves, and heard from individuals who transitioned from academia to industry.
