We’re thrilled to announce a powerful transformation: Wonder Women Networking Evening has become Ignite: STEM Networking Night!
In 2025, Ignite will travel from coast to coast, bringing in-person mentorship and networking events to communities across Canada. Each event will bring SCWIST’s impactful networking experience while offering a chance for women to connect with peers, mentors and STEM leaders from their own communities.
Coming to a community near you:
- February 2025 – Vancouver
- March 2025 – Montreal
- April 2025 – Yellowknife
- September 2025 – Atlantic Canada
- October 2025 – Toronto
- November 2025 – Central Canada

Event Information
From XX to Wonder Women to Ignite
Originally known as the XX Evening when it was conceived in 1991, the event was created to fill the need of individuals who lacked access to valuable networking opportunities in their workplaces. In 2016 the event was rebranded as the Wonder Women Networking Evening, where it continued to create hundreds of networking and mentorship opportunities for women and equity-deserving groups in STEM each year.
Now, as SCWIST embarks on a national expansion, WWNE will become Ignite, representing a refreshed vision and a renewed commitment to empowering the next generation of STEM leaders across Canada.
