Summary of ms infinity’s participation in Science Expo

Please  read the following written up, a brief summary of ms infinity’s participation in Science
Expo, written by Jenny, SCWIST ms infinity director:

ms infinity spent Saturday, November 5th at the Catalyst – Science Expo
conference held in the pharmaceutical building at UBC. SCWIST helped
financially support the conference as well as ran three successful workshop
about the Scientific Process. Within the workshop, students were challenged
to determine the inner workings of a mysterious tube. They discussed ideas
with their peers and created models. The actual workings of the tube are
never to be revealed! Students enjoyed the freedom to problem solve and
develop their own methods to test their models. The session ended with a
discussion about the scientific process and how scientists build confidence
in their ideas.
