Following on from last month’s fascinating insight into communication in the scientific realm, this workshop from the UBC Library focusses specifically on sharpening your skills in communicating your academic work and connecting with other researchers. Our speakers will guide you through the various online and media tools that are available today, such as scholarly profile websites, LinkedIn, blogging and social media, in order to maximize participation in your field, and publish your work with the greatest impact and to the right audiences.
Join us on Wednesday, November 28th, from 12:00-1:30 PM at the Biodiversity Research Centre Rm. 224 for an informative session covering a range of ways to get your research out there! Coffee, tea and cookies will be served, please bring your own mug.

Erin’s research interests include instructional theory, librarianship and popular culture, and social media. Erin has developed and delivered a training program on social media at York University and has offered sessions at UBC on such topics as social cataloguing tagging.
