Reporting to the Senior Vice-President Academic, the Dean is accountable for contributing to the academic well-being and growth of the College by providing academic and administrative leadership, supervision, support and direction to the
academic chairs, managers, professors, and support staff in the School of Advanced Technology. The Dean will develop and implement the strategic plan for the Faculty, ensuring it is in line with the College’s Strategic and Academic Plans. The successful candidate will be a champion for the growth of technology programming that will meet the increasing demand for the associated skills. Finally, you will lead the development of strong external partnerships and will embrace fundraising as part of your role.

As a well-qualified candidate, you have a Master’s level degree in a relevant area and a hold a P.Eng license. A Ph.D. would be an asset. You bring senior executive experience within an academic environment and have a passion for student success
and education. Innovative with an entrepreneurial mindset, your demonstrated experience creating new opportunities in education and in creating partnerships with the broader community, will serve you well as Dean. A consensus builder, with
strong communications, leadership, and interpersonal skills, you can articulate a vision and execute on strategic plans. Moreover, you have a keen understanding of the latest trends in technology. Finally, you understand the nuances of working with a unionized workforce.
