The ability to manage teams is a skill many employers look for among Science, Technology, Engineering and Math graduates. But what does that look like and how can you build your expertise in this area?
In this session, Anamaria Crisan, Bioinformatician and Biostatistician at BC Centre for Disease Control, will share her success, challenges, and strategies managing teams. She will specifically focus on how team development stages may be impacted by gender imbalances that can be found in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Anamaria received an undergraduate from Queen’s University in Biomedical Computing, and a Master of Science at UBC with the Bioinformatics Training Program. Following graduate school she worked at GenomeDx Biosciences. She holds a certificate in Professional Project Management
